For Valentines Day My Love

My Love

My coffee and cream,
my love is a beautiful being,
my completed dream,
my Godly gift,
my soul you uplift.
My sugar so brown,
my queen of the town,
my sweet rose
who enchants my nose.
My aesthetic love,
my high love,
my cannot say goodbye love,
my love song and dance,
my life’s-long romance.
Forever kissing you
under sunrises and sunsets,
my love’s life needs are met,
because your love is as good as it gets.

For Black History Month

A Rhyme Manifesto

I create art on lyrical easels,
My poetry is as powerful as a diesel,
Moving through the night,
I am a native son like Richard Wright,
But I am hip hop like Eric Wright,
I am smooth with jazz
With a clash,
I speak about the past,
Fighting for our rights,
So that kids can see the future bright,
Black as space,
Proud of my race,
Living legal,
A man, but a champion of the people
Never doing better than
Just a common man,
I capture my soul
At a whole,
And put it in a poem,
When it is the time to display I show ‘em,
I huddle in the masses,
While the battle between good and evil clashes,
Out of courage and determination,
The sprinter dashes,
To win life’s race,
That only comes when you pace.

The Dream I Sing

The Dream I Sing

I sing my dream
to absolute extremes,
with the pen
I illustrate and let you in.
To a soul
that lives on
but weary,
the heart is painfully teary.
Bound by the color you see,
to grasp proper history
only helps me
to be free.
Although color I try not to see,
life is indeed of the educational variety.
Through its rarities
I find my reflection in society
invisible
withering away without a principle.
Dying in vain,
while trying to maintain,
but yet I sing my dreams
with my theme
of struggle
and everything it brings.
I know there will be anguish
of my heart’s written language
to suffer and suffice.
Oh, this world is far from paradise
so I know

I have a long way to go.

Happy New Year My life's Theme Song

My Life’s Theme Song

My life’s theme song
as life goes on,
I learn how to master the art of holding on.
Yearning for the essence of being strong,
sometimes dreams do crash and burn.
Although through failure
Life is a lessen we learn.
Everything is based on a try,
quitting only makes your dreams die.
The errors and trials
from frowns to smiles.
While all walks of life
are educational as life begins
 but never ends.
Although with experience in life,
You know you cannot replay the scene,
unless it is déjà vu
or you
re live your dreams that have come true.

Holiday Rhyme

Holiday Rhyme

Oh, with great cheer,
the holiday season is here,
so let us be thankful we are still here.
take time out and light a candle
For the problems we cannot handle.
Let his praise ring,
Joy to the King,
Pray for all the Tiny Tims,
Sing a  hymn,
Teach your kids the real reason,

and the meaning for the season.

For my Grandma 90 years of life and on

90 Years of Life

To live 90 years
you have enjoyed life
                        with love  and laughs.
To live 90 years
you have endured pain
 heart ache and tears.
Within those 90 years,
you have seen many things
and you have dreamed
 so many themes.
Being a mother
a grandmother
and a great grandmother,
makes you the family matriarch
with love flowing from your heart.
You are our one and only Madea
through God you gave birth to an idea
then you nursed it into dream
then you raised it into a theme
which is a family.
You built the foundation to the blueprint of our family tree
so for you to live to be 90
is statement to you with much respect.
For good times with you we all collect
but only you can see through the eyes of retrospect
your heart and soul
but only God knows
how your life goes.
But as the seeds of your family tree
continue to grow
from 90 years ago
to 90 years from now and beyond
its because of God and You.
Which is the reason why we are all here
Madea.
So to live 90 years is a blessing
but for most of all to live 90 years
Is a lesson
 we can all learn.
but 90 years of life to you is well earned.
Love from your grandson COLEY.

As We Pass

As We Pass

Life comes at you fast,
As the sands fall in the hour glass,
Through this existence we pass,
There are many among us,
That have no one to trust,
Many among us,
Strong,
Know that life goes on,
Still we know,
That life means so much more,
And is never a chore,
Because God’s blessings
Are always in store.
