Junkie
Bird
Imagine a bird that
is not free,
It is trapped in its
own misery,
And blames others and
wants sympathy,
This tormented bird’s
soul,
Is not all whole,
The bird wonders many
sick thoughts,
With mostly
self-driven plots,
His heart is full of
broken dreams,
And he wants to
accomplish many things,
He is terrified by
self-centered fear,
And what he hears is
perceived wrongly,
Even though his will
is so strong,
To survive and stay
alive,
Only to fly high,
Or just get by,
He is caught in a
vicious cycle
And falls in a
downward spiral
But only if he
decides to pray,
Then he may,
Stay clean just for
one day
At a time,
And free his soul and
mind.
