Come As You Are

Come As You Are

What a great book the Bible is.  The Bible is known as an instruction book on how to live before leaving earth.  From the bible, we have different interpretations on scripture.  It is believed that this is why we have so many different churches that we commonly call denominations.  It is through these churches that the body of Christ exist.
As we know the body of Christ consists of the believers of Jesus Christ.  Within the body of Christ, are many different types of people who take part in church services.  With this being the case, there are many different of types of people of all walks of life taking part in church services.  Some come from other countries or converts of other religions and you have various ethnic groups that make Christianity such a diverse melting pot of people from all over the world.  With Christianity being so diverse it makes the point that salvation is for everyone.  This makes the Gospel of Jesus Christ not exclusive but yet for everyone who seeks Jesus Christ.
The basic understanding of the fact that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is for everyone who wants it and It is also very important to remember that everyone has a right to salvation.  Romans Chapter 8 (vs-1-4)  “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.  For what the law could not do, in that was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”  Since Christ died for us, we have a blessing in salvation that we cannot earn but was freely given to us through Christ that died for us.  It is by God’s grace through faith that we have salvation and are saved.
Now there are many problems that occur in all churches.  As a matter of fact, no church is a perfect church or should not be seen as one.  One of the main problems that exist in most churches is the issue of passing judgment on others.  If salvation is for everyone, and we have salvation only through the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, then why do we continue to place judgment on others?  While we as all Christians are going to face our own judgment?  Matthew Chapter (7-vs-1-2)  “ Judge not, that ye be not judged.  For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.”  As the scripture indicates, why must we judge others when we are not perfect ether?  With judgment within the body of Christ, it makes young and old Christians have problems of staying in church.

What passing judgment does is that it distracts people from the main theme of church which is Worshiping God.  With judgment being passed, it hurts many people by making them find a reason to stop from going to church.  Why do we continue to pass judgment on others just because they do not look like us or wear the same clothes as we do?  By continuing this type of bad behavior of being judgmental, this hinders God’s work within the church and outside of church.  This is due to the fact that the church it self is not a building but the body of Christ.  It is a well known fact that only Jesus Christ is the son of the only living God.  Christ is the only person to ever live a perfect life, so why must Christians continue to judge?
Now that salvation is for everyone, its through salvation that we have hope for a life after death.  With God’s grace, we can deal and accept fear of the unknown due to having strong convictions of going to heaven.  It is in heaven that we Christians can rejoice in the all mighty awesome power that we call God.  As we know, it is through Christ that we have  salvation and thanks God for giving his son Jesus to die on the cross.  It is through Christ that we have overcome death and fear of the unknown.  It is Christ who takes the sting out of death by him dying on the cross.  With his death for us, gives us the conviction of there being a heaven which gives us the blessing of salvation.  Hebrews (Chapter -7-vs-22 and-25) “ By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.  And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by the reason of death: but this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.  Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.”  Our Lord Jesus Christ is the pastor of pastors the most high priest of priest and the greatest preacher ever.  It is through him that we as Christians do not have to worry about the fear of the unknown.
For a Christian there is nothing better than the Bible.  For the Bible is the greatest reference to the word of God.  It is in the bible that we as Christians become assured of the all mighty power of God.  It is through Jesus Christ, the son of God that we have the awesome blessing of salvation.  It is salvation that is a free gift from God that is for anyone who seeks Christ.  Remember the Gospel is for anyone and everyone who seeks God, and they will not be denied.  As for who all are interested are have the notion, please come to a church and Come as You Are.

The Reality Of Black Man When Dealing With The Police

The Reality Of A Black Man When Dealing With The Police

As a black man,
 I must be in reality
about society.
It is as if the police kill us for fun.
And for a voice,
 for us
 is no one.
They use their brutality,
for notoriety.
As they climb their ranks,
with their attitude toward us so stank.
Making these times full of insanity,
as it seems like every day,
becomes another tragedy.
It’s a crime to not respect human life,
and survival is a never ending existence of strife.
As we black men die for less,
but we are still so blessed.
Although it seems to others,
that our lives or worthless.
Still I say that we are priceless,
and in so many ways invisible.
As others don’t realize that we black men die
over a simple principle,
called human life!
As we are cut down by life’s knife,
while our love one’s grieve in pain.
Because more black men die in vain.
The police treat us like target practice,
and then turn deaf ears to our activist,
calling us reverse racist.
So if a black man is to resist arrest,
then it can be taken as if he has a death wish.
I wish all this madness would stop,
although sad to say it won’t,
until the whole world goes pop.

For You On Mother's Day

For You On

Mother's Day

A strong lady
 that out of love,
would do anything
to raise her babies.
Tough love
was her way
to discipline me.
About God and life,
 she educated me.
Trying to show me
through life,
God would be the only thing that would sustain me.
As my first educator
and my biggest critic,
you are the inspiration for these lyrics.
For you
 to be you
is just simply poetic.
For my gift of life you bore.
As your heart toward me
has always been and open door.
As, you are always
 willing to do anything for
my dreams to come true.
So, Mom all I can say
is thank you and I love you.
Happy Mother's Day.

I Could Cry

I Could Cry

I could cry
a thousand tears
but still
I could not release
this fear.
I could down
a million beers,
and still there
would be more tears.
Trying to drink
my troubles away,
only causing more
harm in my way.
For my troubles
only escalate,
trapped in the
hands of fate.
Which only has
me irate.
While trying to hold on
to my faith
so as I cry,
my tears will flow.
As I release my fears,
it is in those tears
that I must grow.
As I continue on the
path that God wants
me to go.
It is apart of life
and a fact,
that more tears come,
 and will continue to flow,
so I cry.

In My Face

In My Face

The door keeps slamming in my face.
But I don’t give up by God’s grace.
Sometimes I feel out of place,
yet its all apart of the rat race.
To give up would be a disgrace,
why quit on life.
When my passion is to write?
Despite the odds,
I continue to soldier on
and praise God.
So let the door slam in my face,
but for me to give up,
would be nothing but a disgrace.

Sweet Love

Sweet Love

Oh, sweet love
as through life we go
and endure,
searching for love, being so pure.
Knowing it is a cure,
for the ages,
and all of life’s stages
it frees us from the cages
it is all over the good book’s pages.
Oh, sweet love.

Oh, sweet love,
you never come and go
as life comes and goes
you will always be standing
forever gently commanding
our respect.
Whether we see it in retrospect,
Or we judge by our own intellect
We know one thing,
oh, sweet love,

you complete our lives.

Feeling Good With Life

Feeling Good With Life

Exotic trills
on hills,
laying among the daffodils.
A life without pills,
but you still
spin your own wheels.
Doing it big with deals,
oh the zeal
 of life.
The many wonders,
and ponders
In deep concentration,
knowing life with affirmation.
