Why Fly A Rebel Flag

Many want to hold on to a flag,

which doesn’t do anything

but put people in body bags.

The Confederate Flag,

is an image

so haunting,

many use it as a way

of taunting

and flaunting.

So that they are lost,

trying to find

an excuse,

to use violence,

as a way to silence

the upward progression,

to end racial segregation.

So the fight,

for what’s right,

is a plight

and struggle

that will end

only at the end of time.

Only then the blind will see,

the need for racial unity

and equality.

Yes, for all of human kind,

from all above,

oh yes, one God

oh yes, one love.

So no need for a confederate flag,

because all it does is put people in body bags.
